It is with great regret that we inform you of the cancellation of the 2021 joint conference of the Australian Anthropological Society and the Association of Social Anthropologists of Aotearoa New Zealand. Our conference was to be held in December of 2020, and following the unprecedented impacts of COVID-19 we postponed it to December 2021. In consultation with our colleagues in the AAS, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the event altogether.

We understand that the AAS is making plans for a smaller national conference at the end of 2021. ASAA/NZ is also considering whether it can facilitate an alternate event for December 2021.
