Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/ Associate Professor in Anthropology (Pacific Region), University of Canterbury.

Applications are invited for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer or Senior Lecturer Above the Bar or Associate Professor in Anthropology or a related discipline. Applicants must have a PhD degree in Anthropology or related subjects, with a background in ethnographic research. Preference will be given to Māori/Pacific scholars with an understanding of Indigenous knowledge in Pacific contexts. The closing date for applications is 12 March 2023 (midnight NZ time). Pacific Studies is part of Va‘aomanū Pasifika—Programme in Pacific Studies and Samoan Studies, within the School of Languages and Cultures. The Senior Lecturer in Pacific Studies will be involved in administering and teaching Pacific Studies courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The successful applicant will have completed a PhD in Pacific Studies or a related field and have experience teaching in an interdisciplinary Pacific Studies or relevant programme.
